The power of branding and imagery is very underrated. Designer Ewan Yap, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia explores the principle of “BIG BRAND THEORY”; cropping out each brand’s identity as much as possible while maintaining it’s integrity. It amazing how we are able to still recognize and know almost instantly some of the most recognizable brands in the world simply by looking at a font face and color. Its interesting to note that some of the lesser known brands don’t translate well when most of the logo has been cropped out. Perhaps there is a correlation between great branding and recognizability that few other than designers are acknowledging.
